The Daily Fantasy Insiders
The War Rooms are where you can interact with our Insiders and get lineup-building advice for every main slate. Our Insiders will create a new topic titled with the start date of each slate being discussed. When the War Room opens, you will be able to view our team’s top plays and ask as many questions as you want about the slate. We’ve built some unique features to make it easier for you to follow the Insiders’ advice and get answers to your questions.
The top post will always be the Header, which is a summary of our favorite plays at each position as well as some other highly pertinent information. This will be updated until the slate locks as we add and remove players based on updated information. Underneath the header you will find all the Pinned Posts for the slate. These are a combination of situational breakdowns from our team and the questions and answers that apply to everyone. Even if you don’t read through all the questions in the War Room, you should always try to read the Pinned Posts before locking in a lineup.
Want to ask a question? Use the search bar to see if anyone else has already asked it—the answer might already be out there! Don’t see your question yet? Type your question into the box below the header to submit it to our team. One of our Insiders will respond as soon as possible. Please do not ask questions about your specific lineup as we are not able to answer questions that will lock in an exact lineup for our users.
If you would like to receive a notification when a new reply is posted in a thread, click the “Follow” button. Note that you will automatically receive notifications for new replies on a thread that you are already a part of. Additionally, there is a box to check if you would like to be notified of all new pinned posts in a particular War Room. This is a useful feature for All Access users who are playing multiple sports and therefore following multiple War Rooms at once.
Please be respectful to the entire DFI community by ensuring that your experience doesn’t hinder someone else’s.
On most main slates, our Insiders will be in the War Room for two hours before the slate locks. Feel free to submit your questions at any time after the War Room for each slate is created and our Insiders will answer them as soon as possible.
If a question is submitted in regards to a player who has already been discussed in a Pinned Post, the Insiders will assume that you no longer have a question about the situation. If the post didn’t address something specific you wanted to know, feel free to reply to that post with a question.
If you submit your lineup as a question, we will only comment if we see a player we wouldn’t recommend using. If we approve of your lineup, we will simply leave it be. Please keep in mind that we can’t make a final decision for you if you ask us to choose between two players that are both in the header. We will do our best to respond to questions between two players if both players are not mentioned in the header or a Pinned Post. If one is in the header and one is not, it should be obvious. If both are, that is a decision for you to make. If we made that choice for you at every position, everyone would end up with identical lineups. Not only would that be against the rules set by the DFS sites, but it would be a disadvantage for all of us.
We hope you enjoy the War Rooms and understand that these policies are for the greater good of the entire DFI community. We understand that some of you would like reassurance about your lineup each day before submitting it, but the majority of our users would prefer our analysts to answer questions about specific players and the slate as a whole so everyone can benefit. This way the War Room is not overcrowded with things that don’t concern anyone else. If you have questions about any of this, feel free to email us or send a direct message to our Twitter account, @dfinsider.
