Canadian Football League (CFL) Must-haves are our most highly recommended players for any given slate. Our experts select these picks above the rest and have determined they are most likely to reach or exceed value. These are the foundational players that we advise building your lineups around.
Kenny Shaw (DK: $4,700) “Success occurs when opportunity meets preparation”. That quote seems like it should be on a framed poster behind the desk of Michael Scott from NBC’s The Office but it is a very true statement. Just ask Tom Brady or Kurt Warner or even Trevor Harris of the Ottawa Redblacks what they think. They all took advantage of their opportunities and Kenny Shaw’s opportunity is presenting itself in 2016, and so far he has responded exceptionally well for the Toronto Argonauts. In the first four games, Kenny Shaw is first on the team in targets with 25,... Read More
Mike Reilly (DK: $10,800): Mike Reilly has ascended into the role as the face of the Edmonton Eskimos’ franchise, both on and off the field. After being traded away from the B.C. Lions in 2013, Mike Reilly seized his opportunity in Edmonton and has never looked back. Reilly won over the Eskimo fans in 2013, throwing for 4,207 yards and 24 touchdowns. Reilly was plagued by injuries in 2014 and 2015, but was able to come back and lead Edmonton to the Grey Cup championship. He also won the Most Outstanding Player award for the game. Reilly hasn’t taken his... Read More
C.J. Gable (DK: $5,500) This is a perfect scenario for playing a low-owned back in a great match-up. Gable has had a cold start to the 2016 CFL season, rushing for only 96 yards on 18 carries and 0 touchdowns in his first two games. That’s still a respectable 5.3 yards per carry average, but not the typical gaudy numbers you would expect to see from someone that we recommend you should have in your line-ups. The primary reason we believe Gable is a great play is the defense that he and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will be playing in Week... Read More
Chris Williams (DK: $9,400): Week 2 of the CFL season is upon us and our first must-have is the Ottawa Redblack’s WR. Williams is the most expensive wide receiver this week and for good reason. Last week the star wideout caught 8 balls for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns for 41.8 fantasy points to lead the Redblacks to a 45-37 OT win over defending Grey Cup champions, the Edmonton Eskimos. Vegas predicted this as their highest scoring game last week, and the two teams didn’t disappoint. Williams and 2015 Most Outstanding Player Henry Burris connected on 4 passes in the... Read More
