Jerome Ford (DK: $7,800, FD: $9,200): Ford is the definition of bellcow here for Cincinnati. He has carried the rock 67 times over 4 games, good for roughly 17 times per game. He has 6 TD in that span, and is nearly a lock for 15+ touches here. He also has a solid floor here, but this type of game bodes better for him to hit on his higher range of outcomes. What is very impressive for Ford is his snaps. He has 200 out of 258 this season (77.5% of snaps), which is an obscenely high share for an RB. His 67 carries is 60 clear of the next RB in Cincinnati. They really don’t use too many backup RBs on Cincy, as Ford has 67/115 attempts this season.. In the air, Ford has run 74 routes for Cincy — third most on the team — but has only 4 targets. He has the most pass snaps played, which should come as no surprise since he’s played all but 58 of them this season. Ford’s snap share and routes run give him a nice boost. Even though he is likely the checkdown and won’t see too many targets, it’s nice to know he runs the routes and has that opportunity. Ground volume + domination of the backfield + this game script have him in a nice spot to produce. Ford is a fantastic play on this slate, and is a great start to any lineup this Friday.
