Breece Hall (DK: $7,000, FD: $9,200): One of our faithful Must-Haves from last fall, Hall returns this weekend as an excellent option. Hall was amazing after getting the starting nod last year, going for over 100 rushing yards 4 times, while also getting a decent target share. Hall had 28 targets across his 7 starts, and averaged 22 carries per game as the starter. ULL allowed decent rushing stats last year at face value, but let’s dig a bit. If we toss aside a couple outliers against far inferior opponents, we see that they allowed roughly 192 rushing yards per game, with a 4.6 yard per carry and just under two rushing scores per game. Mississippi State gauged them for 261-3, showcasing what a power-5 school was able to do against them. The key with Hall today is that work load. He is a rare combination of team total, guaranteed work, and upside. Hall had a 4% breakaway rate last season, seeing 8 plays go for 21+ yards. 4 of those were passes, and 4 were rushes. It’s a nice boost to know he can bust open those screens designed for him. Hall is also in that beautiful zone tomorrow, where his team is favored, but not by enough to make him lose work. A spread just under two scores allows Hall work for four quarters, which will provide more than enough opportunity for him to produce tomorrow. Lock him in at RB this Saturday!
