Greg Ellingson (DK: $8,100): Our daily fantasy CFL Must-Have for Week 15 action is the Ottawa Redblacks’ slotback Greg Ellingson. Ellingson and his Ottawa offense face off against the Edmonton Eskimos in what should be an absolute shootout and fantasy gem. Edmonton and Ottawa are two of the most high-octane offenses in the league and are led by two of the top signal-callers in the game in Mike Reilly and Trevor Harris. Though the offenses are elite, the defenses do not fit the same mold. The Eskimos D is coming off one of their worst performances of the season allowing 42 points to the Calgary Stampeders. They currently rank 6th in passing defense, 7th in total defense and 7th in points allowed; all of which lead us towards the Ottawa offense this weekend. Ellingson has not had the most efficient season, and has been labeled as Ottawa’s WR3 for much of the season, but, surprisingly enough Mr. Ellingson, he LEADS THE CFL in targets. That’s right, a mistakenly labeled WR3 not only leads his own team in targets, but the entire league and somehow finds himself priced as just the 9th-priciest wide receiver. We will look to take advantage of this nearly $1,000 discount from fellow Redblack receivers Dionte Spencer and Brad Sinopoli while at the same time exploiting the weak Eskimos defensive unit. All three options are in play in what should be the highest scoring game of the weekend, but only one can be our Must-Have and that is Trevor Harris’ favorite target, Greg Ellingson. Be sure you have your lineups centered around the speedy slotback this week.
