Jorge Polanco (DK: $3,400 FD: $2,500): Our first Must-Have of the day will be stepping into the box against left-hander Matt Boyd in Detroit. Boyd has always had his struggles with right-handers and has allowed well over a .200 xISO to them since 2019. Across almost 50 previous matchups in the past between Polanco and Boyd, Polanco has already clipped him for 3 homers, 2 doubles, 2 stolen bases, and a .300 average. Polanco also posted a .345 average against lefties in 2020 and has a .315 average in his career at Comerica Park. With Polanco carrying upside in a number of ways today at cheap pricing, we will be locking him in across all formats!

Lourdes Gurriel (DK: $4,000 FD: $2,500): The Blue Jays are in Texas for a matchup with Kyle Gibson, who had an Opening Day to forget. Gibson only managed to get one out before allowing five earned runs in the first inning of 2021. Gibson has been exploitable to both sides of the plate for a while now but it looks like this season he really needs to make some adjustments. This is a tough matchup for Gibson since the Blue Jays have tons of hitters with pop against a right-hander. Lourdes Gurriel should hit in the heart of this lineup and posted a .317 average with a .230 ISO against righties in 2020. We can also tell you that Gibson will throw primarily a sinker, slider, and changeup to righties and Gurriel posted over a .330 xISO against both the slider and sinker in 2019, and a .260 xISO against changeups from righties just last season. We love Gurriel’s chances to produce tonight as we lock him in as Must-Have #2.
