Jason Kipnis (DK: $3,600 FD: $2,900): Our first Must-Have of the night is Jason Kipnis of the Cleveland Indians. Tonight he will face off against Spencer Turnbull of the Detroit Tigers. This year against left-handed hitters, Turnbull has allowed a .288 batting average and an .836 OPS. Additionally he is allowing a 4.99 FIP on the road to lefties this season. His pitching arsenal against lefties consist of a 93.6 MPH fastball in which he throws 44.03% of the time. His secondary pitch is a sinker in which he throws 23.90% of the time. Against the fastball, Kipnis owns a .375 xwOBA and against the sinker, he owns a .455 ISO. In his career against Turnbull, he is 3 for 6 with 1 HR and a double. Safe to say, he has seen Turnbull very well in the past. At home this year against right-handed pitching, Kipnis owns a .296 batting average, .848 OPS, and a .359 wOBA. He has done a terrific job in this spot and at the cleanup spot tonight in the order, we love his upside to produce. Lock him in as our first Must-Have of the night!

Yoan Moncada (DK: $4,800 FD: $3,700): Our second Must-Have of the night is Yoan Moncada of the Chicago White Sox. Tonight he will face off against Danny Duffy of the Kansas City Royals. This year against left-handed pitching, Moncada owns an .803 OPS, .473 SLG%, and a .280 batting avg. He has also crushed on the road, specifically in Kauffman Stadium this year where he owns a .412 batting average, .559 SLG%, and a 1.018 OPS. While Duffy’s ERA is high, his FIP and xFIP are even higher. He is due for negative regression and looking deeper we see that he is currently allowing 1.45 HR/9 against righties at home and a 6.10 FIP with a 47.4% hard-hit% as well. Moncada is in a pure spot to crush and produce many runs from RBI opportunities tonight. As for Duffy’s pitching arsenal, against right-handed hitters, he throws a 92.1 MPH fastball in which he throws 40.21% of the time. This fastball has an ISO of .129 but an xISO of .206 indicating negative future regression. Against this fastball, Moncada owns a .308 ISO and a .405 wOBA. He absolutely loves this pitch and Duffy could have a very rough outing here if the rest of the White Sox’ lineup can follow along. Moncada will be batting 2nd in the order tonight and is in a terrific spot to crush Duffy. We love this play on all formats and are locking him in as our second Must-Have of the night!
