Kole Calhoun (DK: $4,500 FD: $3,000): Our first Must-Have for tonight’s MLB slate is Kole Calhoun of the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels will be facing Dylan Covey and the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field. Calhoun owns an .831 OPS against right-handed pitching this year to go along with an ISO of .239 and 18 home runs. Covey has been prone to surrendering the long ball at home against left-handed batters with 3.60 HR/9 allowed. He has also allowed a 39% Hard-Hit Rate versus lefties and has a FIP of 8.71 against them at home. Covey will primarily attack lefties with his Four-Seam Fastball and his Two-Seam Fastball, throwing them 24% of the time and 28% of the time respectively. A lot of damage has been done against his Two-Seamer. He has allowed an ISO of .429 with the pitch this year and a staggering wOBA of .637. His Four-Seamer hasn’t been much better allowing a .389 BABIP against. Calhoun is a great fastball hitter; he has an xISO of .219 against the Two-Seamer from righties this year and an xISO of .210 against the Four-Seamer. We believe that Kole Calhoun is primed for a great night against Dylan Covey and the White Sox and should be locked into one of your outfield spots!

Jurickson Profar (DK: $3,900 FD: $2,900):
Our second Must-Have of tonight’s MLB slate is Jurickson Profar of the Oakland Athletics. The A’s will be facing Jordan Zimmerman and the Detroit Tigers at the Oakland Coliseum. Profar has hit for power against righties this year with 16 Home Runs and an ISO of .208. He has really come on as of late with an OPS of .974 against righties in the past 30 days to go along with a wRC+ of 168. Zimmerman has struggled against lefties this year, allowing 1.61 HR/9 and a 44% Hard-Hit Rate. Zimmerman will use his Four-Seam fastball about 38% of the time to lefties followed by his Curveball 23% of the time. Zimmerman’s Four-Seamer has been hit well by lefties, allowing a .321 xISO and a .462 xwOBA. Profar has hit both the Four-Seamer and the Curve well this year with a .194 xISO against the Four-Seam and a .231 ISO against the Curve. Zimmerman has also allowed 9 Stolen Bases in 12 attempts and Profar has stolen 7 bags this year, providing him with some stolen base upside as well. With Profar’s value and upside tonight, we believe he is well worth the price of being a lock for your lineups which can help you move up at pitcher if you are trying to fit a more expensive option from this slate!
