Maki Pitolo (DK: $9,000): Our Must-Have comes into this fight with a 12-4 record and is making his UFC debut. In his 12 wins, he’s gone to decision three times, won by submission three times and won by (T)KO six times. He is currently a -330 favorite with -245 odds to finish the fight inside the distance.

Maki “Coconut Bombs” Pitolo is coming off an impressive win on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series, stopping Justin Sumter in the 1st round via KO. He is currently riding a three-fight win streak. Normally we would post stats about each fighter, but since both fighters only have one fight with stats, and neither fight lasted more than 90 seconds, the stats are too skewed to post. As his nickname suggests, Pitolo has some serious power in his hands with half of his wins coming via T(KO), and has a 75% finishing rate. Maki is very physical and athletic, and should also have a speed advantage in this fight as well. His opponent, Callan Pottor, is a very slow and plodding fighter that just looks to move forward. Pottor has only gone to a decision once; in all his other fights, he’s finished his opponent or been finished. In Potter’s eight losses, he’s been (T)KO’d four times and been submitted four times. Pitolo’s speed, power, and athleticism should be able to keep Pottor from making it a slow grinding fight. Maki should find Pottor’s chin and make Potter take a canvas nap. Maki Pitolo can be used in all formats. Make sure to subscribe to find out all our other plays for UFC 243.
