Daniel “D-Rod” Rodriguez is primarily a high-volume boxer, but does have a sneaky grappling game. In his UFC debut, he was able to finish Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means via standing guillotine, and before the submission, he was able to drop Means during the fight. In his next fight against Gabe Green, he was able to show off his striking volume. He landed over 175 significant strikes in a three-round fight. In his last fight, he showed a great ability to recover from a shot and land his own devastating knockout. Rodriguez lands 8.46 significant strikes per minute, which is one of the highest rates in the UFC.  D-Rod’s opponent Nicolas Dalby is a 36 year old UFC veteran who’s at the tail end of his career. Dalby absorbs just as many strikes as he lands which isn’t a good recipe against a high volume striker in Rodriguez. In Dalby’s last fight he was finished by Jesse Ranson, who is a low-level UFC fighter. We expect a similar result to what Rodriguez did to Gabe Green, landing a ton of significant strikes, and should be able to pick Dalby apart on the feet with his size and reach advantage. Rodriguez does have a good shot at landing that knockout punch, but likely will win a convincing decision victory. Lock Daniel Rodriguez into all formats for both DraftKings and FanDuel.
