Max Holloway vs. Frankie Edgar

Max Holloway (DK: $8,300): Our Must-Have comes into this fight with a 20-4 record (16-4 in the UFC). In his 20 wins, he’s gone to decision eight times, won by submission twice and won by (T)KO ten times. He is currently a -320 favorite with -105 odds to finish the fight inside the distance.

The 27-year-old Hawaiian, Max Holloway, is looking to bounce back after losing to Dustin Poirier for the vacated interim lightweight belt. Max is defending his featherweight belt against the legend Frankie Edgar. Max is a cardio monster and a volume machine. He’s not a power puncher, but his style is death by a million strikes. His 6.93 significant strikes per minute is the fourth-highest strike rate ever in the UFC, and he currently has the most significant strikes landed in UFC history at 1808, and he’s only 27 years old. This will be his 5th five-round fight, so we know his cardio will hold up. His opponent’s main path to victory is using his wrestling to get takedowns and control his opponents on the mat. The problem for Edgar, Holloway defends that at 83% which will make it very tough for Frankie to land those takedowns. Since this fight is five rounds, those significant strikes will rack up the points quickly, and expect Max to score 100+ DK points. We expect this fight to go the distance or possibly Max gets a late stoppage. Max Holloway can be used in all formats as our daily fantasy MMA Must-Have.
