LaMarcus Aldridge (FDraft: $15,500 DK: $8,500) – For tonight’s three-game slate, we will have one DK/FDraft only Must-Have and one FDuel only Must-Have due to price discrepancies. Our first Must-Have of the night is the Spurs’ power forward, LaMarcus Aldridge. Without Kawhi playing for the Spurs, Aldridge handles much of the offensive workload for San Antonio. His price tag is appropriate on FanDuel ($9,900), but DraftKings and FantasyDraft didn’t get the memo to price LMA up. In a premier matchup against the LA Lakers, Aldridge finds himself in a great position to crush value tonight where he will be the feature player for the Spurs in a pace-up matchup. The Spurs play at the second slowest pace in the league, while the Lakers are atop the league in pace of play. With the uptick in speed of the game, all of the Spurs players find themselves in great spots to succeed tonight. In addition to pace of play, the matchup is about as good as we could get for LMA. The Lakers are 30th in the league in terms of defensive efficiency against the power forward position. When Aldridge’s co-star, Kawhi Leonard doesn’t play, Aldridge sees a slight minutes boost, and averages over 45 fantasy points per game. He should see around a 35% usage rate and averages nearly 1.5 FPPM in this situation with the current Spurs injuries. When factoring in all of this, we view Aldridge as an absolute lock on DK and FDraft for each of our lineups.
Pascal Siakam (FDuel: $3,500) – Staying in the same position, but at the other end of the pricing scale, we have the Raptors fill-in power forward, Pascal Siakam. Serge Ibaka was involved in an altercation causing him to be suspended for tonight’s game, so minutes and fantasy points will be up for grabs tonight. FanDuel correctly priced LaMarcus Aldridge, but failed to price up Siakam for tonight, leaving him at the minimum price of $3,500. We project Siakam to start and see around 28 minutes on the court, as well as easily topping 20 fantasy points and crushing value at his minimum price tag. Without Ibaka getting playing time, Siakam doesn’t see much of a usage increase or a FPPM increase because they rarely play together, but the thing we do like is his projected increase in playing time. With extra minutes he will receive more opportunity to rack up fantasy points. On this short slate, we will be locking Siakam into one of our power forward spots on FanDuel in hopes of him crushing value at his very attractive price tag.
