Gerald Green (FDraft: $10,800 DK: $5,500 FDuel: $4,800): Our first Must-Have is the newly-signed high-flyer, Gerald Green. Tonight the Rockets will be without Nene and Tarik Black (along with James Harden of course), leaving them very thin in their rotation. We expect them to use an eight-man rotation that will feature no true backup center. In other words, the Rockets will have to rotate players frequently and go small in order to rest Clint Capela. This is where we expect Gerald Green to thrive. Since Green signed with the Rockets he is averaging 16.6 PPG and 3.4 RPG in just 26 minutes per game. In this eight-man rotation, Green has a 22.5% usage rate and he is averaging 1.00 FPTs/min. We expect Green to see over 30 minutes of play today which gives him a high floor as well as a tremendous ceiling as the Rockets are implied to score 117 points with just an eight man rotation. With his expected increase in minutes and high usage rate in this situation, we are locking Gerald Green in across the board.
Clint Capela (FDraft: $14,600 DK: $7,100): Our next Must-Have comes from the same Houston Rockets team as Capela will also be expected to play at least 30 minutes. In eight games this year where Capela has seen at least 30 minutes, he has recorded a double-double in six of them. In his current situation tonight, Capela has a 21.1% usage rate and averages 1.22 FPTs/min. Phoenix allows the fourth-most rebounds and blocks to their opponents which increases Capela’s upside even more. D’Antoni has no choice but to lean on his big man to play heavy minutes and we believe this is the perfect matchup for him to explode. Capela will be locked into our Fantasy Draft and DraftKings lineups and is a very strong FanDuel play as well.
Dragan Bender (FDuel: $3,500): Dragan Bender’s price on FanDuel simply cannot be ignored as he is priced at the absolute minimum in a game where Phoenix will be missing their starting power forward, Marquese Chriss. In 43 minutes playing with the projected starting lineup, Bender averages an impressive .93 FPTs/min which is a remarkable .32 increase from when he comes off the bench. Bender averages a meager 21 minutes per game on the season but with Chriss out, we project Bender to see close to 30 minutes tonight. Over the last five games, Houston is allowing the most points in the league to opposing power forwards. In this fast-paced game and heavy workload for Bender, he has immense opportunity to crush value, thus we will be locking him into our FanDuel lineups.
