Donovan Mitchell (DK: $7,300; FD: $7,900; Y: $28): Our first daily fantasy NBA Must-Have of the night is the second year guard for the Utah Jazz, Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell will greatly benefit from fellow back-court member Ricky Rubio sitting out after getting injured two nights ago. Last game, after the injury, Mitchell totaled 40 minutes, giving us plenty of reason to expect fantastic volume, as he’s eclipsed 35 minutes in three of his last four contests (with the one being a 20-plus point blowout of the Cavs). With Rubio off the floor this season, Mitchell has a 43.3 percent usage, while averaging 1.15 fantasy points per minute. In six games without Rubio, Mitchell averages more than 35 minutes, with a stat line of 21.3 / 5.3 / 4.8. At a reasonable price, he holds a safe floor, with an explosive ceiling given his increased opportunity in a matchup against an average defense in the Magic.

De’Anthony Melton (DK: $4,300; FD $4,200; Y: $10): Devin Booker is doubtful tonight after missing the Suns’ most recent bout and leaving early in the game prior to that. After Booker left with an injury, Melton played 19 of the remaining 30 minutes. Last night, Melton played 32 minutes. His court time has been directly tied to Devin Booker because the Suns have lately been comfortable using Booker as a point guard when he’s on the floor. With Booker out, Melton should see significant run and historically he sees a 4% bump in usage and an uptick of four fantasy points per 36 minutes. The Suns face a Dallas squad that ranks 22nd in DK points allowed to opposing point guards. On a night where there are some expensive options to love, Melton is a value piece you will need in your lineups.
