Bradley Beal (DK: $8,800; FD: $40; Y: $9,600): Our first NBA Must-Have for tonight’s slate is the Wizards all-star guard Bradley Beal. Earlier today, we received news that Tomas Satoransky will sit tonight for the Wizards, leaving them with three active guards. Beal will start alongside Chasson Randle or Jordan McCrae and handle the ball as much as he can. With Wall, Satoransky, Porter, and the rest of the traded players off the court, Beal possesses a 28.7% usage rate and scores 1.62 FPPM in a limited sample. If we take off some of the guys that impact the team less to widen the sample, his scoring normalizes slightly, but still rates out at 1.46 FPPM, which in the 40 minutes we project him to see, would be far over value at his current price. The matchup is a nice one as well, as the Pistons rank 19th in the league against combo guards, and are right around bottom ten in the league vs both guard positions. The game total is right at slate-average, so with the large usage rate and huge FPPM numbers, we will lock in Beal as one of our pay-up options tonight.
Larry Nance Jr. (DK: $5,900): One of our site-specific Must-Haves comes from a sneaky game-stack spot. Larry Nance has had a few massive games over the past week and has seen his minutes rise in six consecutive games. In a 168-minute sample with the Cavaliers current situation, Nance holds a 17.9% usage rate (+2% from normal) and scores 1.12 FPPM. With Cedi Osman already ruled out and Ante Zizic questionable, Nance is in line to see 30+ minutes again. With Love easing his way back into the rotation very slowly, the Cavs staff has given Nance 28+ minutes in four straight games and they’re being rewarded by it. Last game, Nance filled the stat sheet, compiling a fantastic 16/10/2/2/1 stat line, following a 10/19/6/3 line in the previous contest. In those two games, he averaged 7.7x value at this price and gets an even better matchup tonight. The Knicks are notoriously known for being horrendous at defending power forwards, being the second-worst team in the league in DvP to the position. Between the still-deflated price and the injuries, as well as the minutes increase as of late, Nance is a top play on DraftKings and will be a staple in all of our lineups tonight.
Jabari Parker (FD: $3,900): Jabari Parker’s price has yet to be corrected on FanDuel following his move to the Wizards, and this makes him a Must-Have for us today on that site. He could still come into play on DraftKings if Jeff Green is ruled out, but Parker is a cornerstone piece for us on FanDuel today regardless of Green’s game status. In his two games with the Wizards, Parker has 27 points, 16 rebounds, 15 assists, 3 blocks and 4 steals over 57 minutes. That puts him at 47.85 FanDuel points per game. We know that Jabari is a solid career FPPM guy, he just hasn’t been able to get the minutes due to his lack of effort on the defensive end of the court. Things appear to be different in Washington, as the minutes have been great for Parker. He saw a spike in minutes last game due to Jeff Green missing the 3rd quarter due to injury. Whether or not Green suits up, Parker should see 24+ minutes and at his FPPM production, he should make for one of the best values on FD tonight. In his first two games with Washington, Parker has produced an 18.3% usage rate followed by 1.60 FPPM. Until his price is corrected, he will remain our Must-Have on FanDuel.
