Josh Anderson (FDraft: $11,900 DK: $5,900 FDuel: $4,800): It appears as though sites are finally catching on to Anderson’s consistent upside, skating on Columbus’ top line and power play (with the exception of FanDuel, where he remains severely underpriced). In a nice matchup tonight, he’s worth rolling out on all three sites. The Jackets take on the struggling Canucks, whose recent defensive woes are exorbitant – for further reference look into our previous articles targeting them or just take a glance at their scores or defensive standing in the league. Sure enough, despite having lost to the lowly Sabres last night, the Jackets are the heaviest favorites of this slate. Anderson figures to get involved, as he impressively leads the team in goals (14) and shots (139).
Jordan Oesterle (FDraft: $9,800 DK: $4,600 FDuel: $4,200): It’s rare when we Must-Have a defenseman, especially one at such a low price. But this is a lock tonight, and indeed in many matchups moving forward so long as he retains his positioning in the lineup and impressive production. Since December 3, Oesterle has produced nine points (tied for 4th on the squad), a team-leading +9 +/-, and the second-most time on ice per game (upwards of 22 minutes). As a result, he’s been rewarded with a top power play spot alongside the talented Patrick Kane. Oesterle has been shooting and blocking the puck with decent consistency of late, and with the Winnipeg Jets coming to town, these trends ought to continue, as the Jets rank in the top half of the league in both shots for and shots against on the road.
