David Pastrnak (FDraft: $14,700 DK: $7,100 FD: $7,400): The Boston Bruins will travel to Colorado tonight to take on the Avalanche in what should be a great matchup for our first Must-Have, Bruins forward David Pastrnak. Although the Bruins are the away team, they are still favored to win this game, with an over/under of 5.5 goals. Pastrnak will play his minutes on the team’s top line, while also playing minutes on the team’s top power play unit. In the two games he’s played so far, he’s scored a goal and averaged 3.5 shots on net per game. Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov has played really well to start the season, but playing behind one of the worst defenses in the league should bring his numbers back down to Earth. In the 24 games he started last year, he posted a record of 6-17, with a GAA of 3.38, and a .898 save % which were the worst numbers of his career. Pastrnak is one of the most expensive forwards tonight, but don’t let that scare you off of him. He’s in a prime spot and could put up points in bunches in this matchup, so make sure you lock him in with confidence.
Taylor Hall (FDraft: $13,200 DK: $6,300 FD: $7,100): The New Jersey Devils travel to Toronto to take on the Leafs in what should be a high scoring affair. Vegas has the Over/Under set for six goals, with the Leafs being big favorites. Taylor Hall comes into this game already posting three assists and a whopping 10 shots on net in just two games played this season. He will be slotted in on the top line tonight, while logging minutes on the second power play unit. The Leafs play at a super-high pace, and the chances should definitely be there for this Devils team that’s scoring at a rate of more than five goals per game. Hall comes with a hefty price tag, and could force people off of him tonight, making him a potential low-owned play. Our research suggests that the Devils should be able to keep up the scoring in this one, and Hall is their best offensive talent. Make sure you lock him in with confidence as our second Must-Have of the evening.
