Tyler Seguin (DK: $7,400 FD: $7,800): Seguin is a shot machine, posting 301 shots last season (the 4th highest mark in the NHL and over 40 more than the next closest skater on this slate, Tavares). This is a consistent throughout his impressive career, as he’s averaged 241 per year over his 7 years in the league (including the shortened 2012-13 season). He’s proven a high capability to convert on these shot opportunities as well, astoundingly ranking within the top 15 in scoring in each of the past 5 seasons. This kind of consistent studly production cannot be ignored on nearly any slate, and with just three games tonight featuring five stronger defenses than Vegas’s is likely to be (oddsmakers agree, setting Dallas as by far the heaviest favorites of the night), it is worth locking Seguin in and building your lineups from there.

* A value play to consider
on defense in this same beneficial situation (although obviously less offensively skewed as a defender) is
Esa Lindell (DK: $3,500 FD: $3,500). He’s flashed upside in the league after playing just one full season, posting a 6.1% shooting rate and averaging over 20 minutes of ice time per game.
