Steven Stamkos (FDraft: $15,200 FD: $8,200 DK: $7,200) Stamkos and the Tampa Bay Lightning will host the New York Islanders tonight in what should be a favorable matchup. The Lightning are off to a hot start this year posting the second best record in the NHL, having won four of their last five games and scoring 22 goals in the span. After a slow start to the year, Stamkos is stringing together the points, registering eight points over his last five games. The Islanders, even though are one of the best teams in the metro, post sub-par possession metrics. The Islanders currently allow the 5th-most shots per game (34), while the Lightning register the 4th-most shots per game (34.7). This combo should lead to a ton of time in the offensive zone for the Lightning. In addition, the Lightning currently have the 10th-best power play in the league and draw the 6th-most penalties. With Stamkos averaging four shots per game over his last five games, we expect this trend to continue and suggest you lock Stamkos into your lineups.

Jonathan Marchessault (FDraft: $14,700 FD: $7,100 DK: $7,100) Our second daily fantasy NHL Must-Have tonight takes on the Ottawa Senators in what should be a high-scoring affair. Jonathan Marchessault currently ranks as the 3rd-most active shooter in the league, registering 4.25 shots per game. The Ottawa Senators currently rank last in goals allowed, allowing 4.13 per game, last in shots against allowing 39.1 per game, and  4th-worst in penalty kill only stopping opponents 70% of the time. The Senators have allowed 16 goals over their last three games, and have been especially weak on the penalty kill in that span. With Marchessault being Vegas’ main shooter during 5v5 play and especially on the power play, he should have many opportunities to score tonight. Facing off against Craig Anderson who holds a sub par save percentage at .909, and allowing an average of 3.25 goals against in net, Vegas should take be able to advantage of him tonight. We suggest you lock in Marchessault in this high scoring change matchup.
