NHL | Must-Haves | 3/10/18

Aleksander Barkov, Jr. (FDraft: $15,100 DK: $7,400 FD: $7,700): The talented skater is in a great spot tonight as his Florida Panthers play host to the New York Rangers in a game with an over/under of 6.5. Barkov is excellent at home, scoring more points at home while playing more games on the road. This is fantastic fantasy wise, as the Rangers are brutal on the road, allowing 3.36 goals per game on the road on nearly 38 shots. Furthermore, Barkov is on the first line and first power play for the Rangers, which is great news considering the Rangers are awful versus opposing centers.  They allow 2.93 points per game to opposing centers on nearly 10.5 shots. Barkov is in a great spot tonight, and should be treated as such.

Leon Draisaitl (FDraft: $13,100 DK: $6,400 FD: $7,000): Anyone who plays on a line with Connor McDavid has the potential to be elite on any night. This evening, the opportunity rises as the Edmonton Oilers have a matchup with the NHL’s worst road team — in a goals allowed per game status — the Minnesota Wild. The Wild allow 3.55 goals per game on the road, and nearly 34 shots. Draisaitl is on the first line and first power play tonight, which means he gets a whole game with McDavid. The Oilers are projected roughly 2.95 goals tonight, and Draisaitl is primed considering the Wild allow nearly 1.5 points per game to opposing RW. Draisaitl is in a near ideal spot on this four game slate, so be sure to get some exposure to him tonight.
