Niemann will represent Chile in the Olympics this year, and we really love targeting him in this no-cut event. When it comes to events without a cut, birdies become essential and Niemann can score with the best on tour when he gets going. He comes in with great form, as he has now made four straight cuts, and fifteen of his last sixteen dating back to the start of 2021. He has racked up four top-10 finishes that include three runner-ups, while adding on two other top-25 finishes. Niemann grades out well for us this week in the model, bolstered by ranking top-10 amongst the field in Strokes Gained: Putting, Off-the-Tee, and on Par 5s while also being top-20 in Strokes Gained: Approach, Greens in Regulation Gained, Birdie or Better Gained, and Strokes Gained on Par 4s. The weakness for Niemann has been his 40th ranking in Sand Saves, but with how dialed he has been off the tee and with his irons, we are less concerned about this than with some others who have been missing greens. We love the scoring upside of Niemann in this no-cut event, and you can lock him in with confidence to start your lines!

Must-Have #2: Jhonattan Vegas

Vegas is coming off one of his best outings of the season, finishing as the runner-up for the 3M Open. He has now made nine straight cuts on tour, and fourteen of his last fifteen overall. In this stretch he has amassed four top-10 finishes (three runner-ups) along with two other top-20 results. Vegas grades really well in our model this week, as he is top-10 amongst the field in Greens in Regulation Gained, Birdie or Better Gained, and Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee along with on Par 4s and 5s. He also ranks top-20 in Strokes Gained: Approach, with his biggest struggle being his Putting where he ranks 38th in Strokes Gained. Vegas has very nice scoring upside, and is far too cheap for his recent form. Consider him an elite play across all formats to start your lineups with!
