Nacer Chadli (DK: $4,900): The daily fantasy soccer Must-Have for this slate is the Belgian midfielder, Nacer Chadli. Chadli didn’t start for his country to begin the tournament, but has earned a spot in their starting eleven over their last two matches. He’s had a set piece role in most games he has featured in for his country this tournament, but in the semifinal round against France, his role increased. In that match, he took all five of his team’s corners, en route to eleven crosses sent in. That alone was enough for him to hit value, but he also has contributed a goal in very limited minutes this World Cup. His goal against Japan was necessary in their comeback which provided Belgium a place in the quarterfinals, and although Belgium could rotate some players in the starting eleven, we believe that Chadli should start. He provides a solid floor with good goal and assist upside for his price. He proved last week that he is a favored set piece taker, even over the likes of Kevin de Bruyne. Chadli is midfield and forward eligible, providing excellent flexibility in your lineups. Although this game is less meaningful than the World Cup final on Sunday, the third-place game has a much higher expected goal total, making it a great game to target for value. Chadli comes in as great value as a set piece taker for a favored side. For all these reasons, we recommend locking Chadli into your lineups for this slate.
