PGA | Weather Spotlight | Pebble Beach Pro Am

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am is one of the most fun events on tour every season. The Monterey Peninsula is home to several picturesque courses, and when the weather cooperates, it’s truly one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Lucky for us, the weather this week looks absolutely perfect. February can be a rainy, windy mess during early February, but not this year. All four days of competition look fantastic. There will be a little wind to deal with, but other than that, a wonderful weekend of golf is ahead.

Thursday-FridayTemperatures and wind will be very similar for the first two days of competition. Morning temps will run from the mid 50s to mid 60s, with winds at around 5 mph for the AM tee times. Afternoon temps for both Thursday and Friday will be in the low to mid 70s with winds freshening to the 5-10 mph range. This is still perfectly manageable for touring pros, and pretty benign by Monterey standards.
Saturday-SundayThere will be a little bit more wind to deal with for the weekend, especially in the afternoon. Temperatures will be a little cooler, too. Expect morning temperatures in the low 50s to low 60s, with afternoon temperatures increasing only to the upper 60s. Winds will be the major change, with a little bit more for the afternoon, blowing at around 10-15 mph at times. While this is an increase from the first two days, this shouldn’t be a huge problem. However, morning tee times on Saturday will have a slight edge.
